INDICATIONS
Cooperzon® 30 is a dip for sheep, goats and pigs. It is indicated to kill and control the following ectoparasites: 
Kills: Sheep scab mites, blowfly maggots, sheep lice and keds, goat lice, goat mange mites, lice on pigs and pig mange mites.
Controls: Ticks present on animal at time of dipping.

CONTAINS
Diazinon 30 % m/v.

STORAGE
Store under lock and key away from food and feed.
Reseal container tightly if all the contents have not been used and do not allow any moisture into the container.

WARNINGS

  • Withdrawal period: Allow 30 days between last treatment and slaughter for human consumption.
  • Handle with care. Poisonous by contact, swallowing and inhala­tion.
  • Toxic to fish, bees and wildlife.
  • In case of ingestion or poisoning call a doctor immediately and make this information available.

Note to doctor: This is an organophosphate. Keep patient fully atropinised and use 2‑PAM.

  • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN, UNINFORMED PERSONS AND ANIMALS.
  • Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of rea­sons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary ad­vice and notify the registration holder.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Avoid contact with concentrate and wash thoroughly with soap and hot water after accidental skin con­tamination.
  • Remove contaminated clothing.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with dip wash.
  • Avoid breathing of spray mist.
  • Do not eat, drink or smoke while or after mixing or treating, before washing hands and face thoroughly.
  • Prevent contamination of food, utensils, grazing, drinking water, rivers, dams, etc.
  • Dispose of empty containers according to local waste disposal regulations and do not reuse for any other purpose.
  • Use gloves when hand dressing.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE – USE ONLY AS DIRECTED

Mixing
Shake well BEFORE use.
Premix the concentrate by adding water to the required quantity of Cooperzon® 30 concentrate stirring all the time.
Add this cream to the bulk of the water, and stir to complete dispersion.

Treatment of blowfly strike

  • Dilute 1 ℓ to 150 ℓ water.
  • Saturate the struck area with the mixture.
  • Ensure all maggots are treated.

Dipping of sheep and goats
Note: In order to ensure that an effective dip concentration is maintained throughout the dipping process, the dip wash should be replenished as follows:

  • Sheep dipping tank

Constant (continuous) replenishment, OR
Before ¼ of the dip wash has been removed (conventional).

  • Large dipping tank (e.g. cattle tank)

Before ⅓ of the dip wash has been removed.

  • Conventional dipping method

Fresh filling: 1 ℓ to 600 ℓ water.
Replenishing: 1 ℓ to 300 ℓ water

  • Constant replenishment method

Fresh filling: 1 ℓ to 1 000 ℓ water.
Replenishing: 1 ℓ to 300 ℓ water.

  • Sheep keds and lice: One dipping when nec­essary.
  • Goat lice: Dip once when necessary.
  • Goat mange: Dip twice at 8 to 10 day inter­vals (under Government supervision).
  • Sheep scab:  Dip twice at 8 to 10 day intervals (under Government supervision).

Preventative measures against post-dipping lameness and lumpy wool
If the dip wash is to stand over for further dipping, the following procedures must be followed to prevent bacterial and fungal contamination of the dip wash:

  • Prevention of post‑dipping lameness

Add 1 kg crystalline zinc sulphate to 1 000 ℓ dip wash and repeat this at the end of each day’s dipping. 

  • Prevention of lumpy wool

Add 1 kg crystal­line zinc sulphate to 400 ℓ dip wash.

  • Spraying or dipping of pigs

1 ℓ to 600 ℓ water. Thoroughly wet the animals by means of a pressure spray or dip twice at 8 to 10 day intervals.
